Nasal cannula : 1 to 6 L/min, about 24 to 44 %. Comfortable, allows eating and talking. Humidify above 4 L/min.. Simple mask : 6 to 10 L/min, about 40 to 60 %. Never below 6 L/min, or exhaled CO2 is rebreathed.. Non-rebreather with reservoir : 10 to 15 L/min, up to about 90 %. Emergencies. Keep the bag inflated.. Venturi mask : a precise fixed concentration regardless of breathing pattern. The device of choice in COPD.. High-flow nasal cannula : high flow, heated and humidified, with a set concentration.
