Coagulation — values and targets

INR (no anticoagulation) : 0.8–1.2. INR target on warfarin : 2.0–3.0 (most indications). aPTT : 25–35 s. Heparin therapeutic aPTT : 1.5–2.5 × control. Fibrinogen : 2.0–4.0 g/L. D-dimer :

• Arterial blood gases — normal values
• Blood cultures and specimens: technique and sequence
• Cardiac and inflammatory markers
• Complete blood count — normal ranges
• Critical values requiring immediate notification
• Glycemia and diabetes markers
