What can and cannot be delegated
Never delegated : assessment of physical and mental condition, evaluation of the response to care, teaching, clinical judgment, and the decision itself.. May be assigned to the right care provider : stable, predictable, routine tasks with a known outcome and no need for judgment during execution.. Before delegating, verify four things : the right task, the right person, the right circumstances, and the right supervision with a clear return of information.
