What can and cannot be delegated

Never delegated: assessment of physical and mental condition, evaluation of the response to care, teaching, clinical judgment, and the decision itself. May be assigned to the right care provider: stable, predictable, routine tasks with a known outcome and no need for judgment during execution. Before delegating, verify four things: the right task, the right person, the right circumstances, and the right supervision with a clear return of information.
