About NursEduc
NursEduc was born in Quebec from the meeting of frontline nurses and Quebec developers passionate about health education. The starting idea was simple: to offer future nursing professionals a preparation tool that meets the real demands of clinical practice in Quebec and Canada. The project took shape from a shared observation: existing resources were often generic, poorly adapted to the realities of the Quebec health system, or centered on multiple-choice questions disconnected from the clinical reasoning expected by professional orders. We wanted to fill this gap with a platform designed here, by people from here, for people from here. NursEduc is a nursing exam preparation platform covering three main paths: the OIIQ professional exam, the OIIAQ exam and the NCLEX-RN. The platform brings together question banks covering all evaluated clinical domains — medical-surgical, pediatrics, perinatal, mental health, critical care, gerontology and community health — as well as realistic clinical scenarios inspired by situations encountered in Quebec care settings, with progressive decision-making paths. It also includes concise reference sheets on pathologies, pharmacology, procedures and protocols, and competency analysis tools. Our mission is to make exam preparation accessible, structured and aligned with the clinical judgment frameworks used by professional orders. Each question is designed to strengthen critical thinking and safe decision-making. We rely on recognized frameworks, including Tanner's clinical judgment model and the NCSBN's Next Generation NCLEX, adapted to the French-speaking context and the specifics of the Quebec health system. The scenarios reflect the concrete reality of care settings: hospitals, CHSLDs, CLSCs, GMFs, outpatient clinics and home care. NursEduc content is written and reviewed by experienced Quebec nurses, actively or recently involved in clinical practice and teaching. Each question, scenario and sheet goes through several review stages: initial drafting by clinicians, educational validation, verification of compliance with OIIQ, OIIAQ and NCSBN reference frameworks, then testing with candidates before publication. This approach aims to guarantee the clinical accuracy of content, compliance with the competency frameworks of professional orders, and linguistic and cultural relevance for use in Quebec French. NursEduc brings together two complementary areas of expertise, both rooted in Quebec. On one side, clinical nurses who design, review and validate content from their daily practice and teaching experience. On the other, a Quebec development team that builds and maintains a reliable, intuitive platform accessible on both computer and mobile. This collaboration between field clinical knowledge and local technological know-how is at the heart of what distinguishes NursEduc from international solutions adapted after the fact to the Canadian market. We believe in accessible preparation — affordable, available at all times and adapted to the demanding schedules of students and professionals in transition. We aim for rigor, with content constantly reviewed and updated. We place care safety first, because a successful exam only makes sense if it prepares for competent practice. Finally, we claim an assumed Quebec anchoring: a platform designed here, thought for here, with sensitivity to local realities — linguistic, clinical and organizational — that this implies. NursEduc is developed by Eden Confort Inc., a company established in Quebec. For any question, suggestion, error report or institutional partnership request (CEGEPs, universities, training centers), write to us at [email protected]. Our team responds as soon as possible and takes every feedback seriously — this is also what allows us to evolve the platform with the community it serves.
